Publisher Description
A crumbling house, a buried love story, and one dangerous mystery…
Buying a falling-down Victorian fixer-upper was supposed to be my fresh start. Sure, I had no renovation skills, no budget to speak of, and no idea what I was doing—but I also wasn't expecting to uncover a hidden cache of love letters and an antique engagement ring buried beneath the attic floorboards.
Now, with a grumpy cat who's adopted me, a town full of nosy neighbors, and a handyman who looks like he belongs on the cover of a romance novel, my "simple" renovation is turning into something much more complicated.
The letters whisper of a forbidden romance that ended in heartbreak—and maybe something worse. And someone clearly doesn't want me digging into the past. The break-ins, the threats, the feeling I'm being watched… this small-town dream is starting to feel more like a nightmare.
Riley, the ridiculously handsome handyman, is a welcome distraction—but when the danger starts creeping too close, he might be the only one I can trust.
Can we uncover the truth before the past catches up to the present? Or will restoring this house cost me more than just my savings?
If you love slow-burn romance, charming small towns, heart-tugging mysteries, and a dash of danger, you'll fall for Dangerous Deeds—book one in the Westport Romantic Mysteries.

Good read
Interesting
The story itself is Intriguing and definitely captivated me but I’m trying to figure out why a dog getting a handjob was detailed but no human interactions were. Im quite distraught actually having to read about the dog getting off, also other readers please note there is a lot of Christianity and religious talk in this book which I am personally not a fan of and would have liked to know beforehand. Didn’t really fit with the spicy vibe this book advertised having, as well as the complete lack of spice at all. Overall I’m glad I only spent 99¢ to read it, it kept me occupied, but I won’t be continuing with the series.
