Dare to Love

Oh wow, I’m not sure why I waited so long to read this book but I’m so glad I finally did. Author Carly Phillips has a way with sexy heat, her writing remind me a lot of Shayla Black & Lexi Blake the way she winds the characters around each other, that their connection is so strong you don’t know where one starts & the other ends. Ian & Riley ignited the moment they met & they never cooled off throughout the entire book. Control & trust issues at the forefront of their relationship seemed to take a backseat as they sizzled page after page. It was fascinating watching Ian slowly change, altering his tendencies for utter control & giving some over to Riley as their relationship grew. Trust was Riley’s problem with good reason & it wasn’t easy for her to put her trust in Ian. I also enjoyed how Riley had started the mending of the animosity between Ian & her best friend, his half brother Alex. The drama & angst of this book was perfect, it kept me interested from start to finish....I couldn’t put it down. Already onto book 2 in the series. Definitely recommend.

Fell for the characters and the rest of the Dare family. Can't wait to read the other books in the series.
The story was sexy and sad simultaneously. Really liked the character development as the story evolved.

Enjoyed the book - look forward to the next one in the spring. Will definitely buy it and future books on the series. Family interesting enough to write quite a few books about them.
