Publisher Description
Resistance is futile; I will have Christine.
With every breath she takes, she's one step closer to being mine.
When she finally gives in, I'll leave her yearning for more.
Dark Devotion takes place the night before the start of Dark Obsession. When Christine's mother dies, it leaves Niccolo with his eyes on the only prize remaining: her daughter.
If you can't be the good guy, sometimes you have to play the villain.
Note: Dark Devotion sets the scene for Niccolo and Christine's relationship in Dark Obsession.

3.5stars-intriguing introduction
: 3.5 stars-DARK DEVOTION is the prequel introduction in Cora Kent’s contemporary, adult BLACKMORE UNIVERSITY dark, erotic romance series. This is the eighteen year old, Christine Lucatello and twenty-seven year old, professor Niccolo Terlizzi’s introduction.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Christine and Niccolo) DARK DEVOTION reveals some of back story between our story line couple. Niccolo Terlizzi is technically Christine Lucatello’s step-father, having married her much older mother a few years before her death but now eighteen years old Christine is all woman, and pushing all of Niccolo’s buttons. About to enter university, Niccolo is determined to claim Christine as his own, controlling every aspect of her life.
DARK DEVOTION is a quick read; a short introduction and tease about two people whose attraction to one another is offset but their previous familial relationship and the forbidden aspects of the how and why. The premise is intriguing ;the characters are sassy. DARK DEVOTION ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

‘Dark Devotion’ is the prequel to ‘Dark Obsession’ and it is a short and spicy introduction to a dark stepfather, stepdaughter mafia romance.
I think ‘Dark Devotion’ helps set up ‘Dark Obsession’ fairly well.
