Claire's friend Michael is forced into a vampire enclave, an electronic collar slapped on his neck, and his marriage to Eve nullified. The premise has a Nazi vibe, heightened by the Daylighter symbols found all over Morganville. Michael's friends, the Glass House, and the town ghost lend aid to free the imprisoned vamps. Claire's bipolar vampire boss adds dark humor to the fast-moving plot, Shane's romance with Claire progresses, and for sharp readers there's a historical Easter egg. Ages 18 up.

I will miss Morganville
I came late to the series so got to read 5 or 6 all together so it always felt like I got to know the characters well. I waited impatiently for each successive book to come along and I will be sad that there will be none to look forward to now.
