Days That Bells Tolled title was chosen to model that of nonfictional educational research, expressions and selective experiences exercised by the author. Positive as well as solemn contributions are included concluding with five final excerpts of professional and family peers from the twentieth and twenty-first century classroom battlegrounds. The author chose to infuse selective historical events to support her professional journey; ironically, bells that rang then are still ringing now. Traditionally, the language used is designed to draw attention to matters of family, community, and government; the author’s heartfelt passion for teaching within school communities are canonized depicting the highs and lows of educational institutions today. Historical literature has been a lifelong inspiration of the author, and she supports this book’s title having chosen a title inspired by the warning bells heard in Ernest Hemingway’s, Langston Hughes and Dr. Benjamin E. Mays’ literary work.
