Wonderful historical suspense!
This is a light romantic suspense that was a joy to read. I loved this book from beginning to end, the characters and setting really keeping my focus and attention. This is historical fiction with enough detail to put you in the time and place but it doesn't bog down the suspense and action. This is one case where the mysterious circumstances were carried over from the first book - who is slashing, and in some cases murdering, rich young heiresses? The romance is clean, I'm happy to report, and the writer did a fair job of dealing with the fact that they are of different classes That is something that would not have been overlooked at the time and place.
I don't want to give too much away so I'll end here but this is a well written, completely enjoyable historical romance with suspense and romance thrown in the mix. I highly recommend this one for your summer reading list!
