From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes an enemies to lovers Salvation Series standalone novel.
His life is dangerous.
My identity is a secret.
We are wrong for each other in every way, and yet—I want him.
The last five years, my CIA career has been focused on finding the person who took my father from us. Mark Dixon is a liability in this mission. We have to work together to solve this case, but his seductive smirk, sarcastic mouth, and delicious body are making it impossible to focus and one of us will end up hurt. As much as try to resist him, I’m defenseless against his charms.
I fall, harder than I ever knew possible. When our lives are on the line, I have to choose between my heart or my job, and pray it doesn’t break me in the end.
Secrets, seduction and danger!
This was an edge of your seat kind of read, ending with a twist I never saw coming. The dynamic of the alpha-male and alpha-female is intense. I loved the back and forth, push and pull, love-hate relationship. It made for not only an engaging read, but an entertaining one as well.
I sort of felt that I was at a bit of a disadvantage as the secondary characters had their stories told in previous books that I haven’t read, but this book is a standalone and you will make it through just fine without reading them.
Edge of my seat!
Mark and Charlie are sheer perfection! This book read like a great spy show! Well done!
