Demonic Awakening (Volume 1‪)‬

Chaka Isawa is a master swordsman known as 'The Beast' - not for his near-legendary skill in combat, but for slaying over a thousand men! Faced with a death sentence, he is forced to run. But no matter how far he runs, his past continues to haunt him.

Crossing paths with a monk on a devil-hunting mission, Chaka recruits him for his strong spellcasting skill. Together, to atone for their sins and failures, they fight their way through demon-haunted seas of swordplay, sorcery and conflict, combating the very forces out to destroy Chaka's world and threaten his sanity.
