Demons & Devils Romance: World of Dragons- A Paranormal Menage Romance
Publisher Description
"Oh God. It's Happening."
The darkness seemed to go on for hours and it seemed that it would overwhelm me as I began to run. I ran faster and faster, as fast as my legs would carry me without falling off. For a werewolf, that was pretty damn fast. The battle was in full bloom now. It was so bad now that I didn’t know who was fighting who or what wolves were allies. The terrible wars of the mountains were coming down around us all now. Back before humans knew that werewolves did exist we had lived in harmony and peace. Now it was all about one thing. Power. I knew that the wolves were starting to dissipate as well. Many of them were losing powers. The powers to turn. How did this happen? They lost faith. Faith in themselves and their destiny. Many blamed it on the humans, but it was us. Those who lost their ability seemed to fade into the human world after that. The worst part was I was starting to do just that. Lose my powers to change. I could feel myself drain whenever I turned now. There was just one thing that could save me now. I would have to mate. In order to stay the way I was. The way I had been born, I would have to give myself completely and wholly to a man and give up my freedom. The one thing that made me who I was.
Customer Reviews
Good story line.
I gave this book a three only because I can imagine the story line being written into a series of full length novels. I think the story itself has great potential for the author. Unfortunately the actual writing of this short story isn't so great. I found the perspectives within the writing were all over the place. Sometimes within one paragraph the views from the main character (I) was mixed with a third person perspective (she). Several times I had to re-read paragraphs to make sense of them. I would love to read this story however if the author ever decides to do the full novel/series thing with it.
Train wreck
Ok, i would never normally leave a bad review. I prefer to leave no review if i don't enjoy a book as i don't want hurt an authors creativity or feelings. I can only imagine how difficult it is to put your imagination and talent out there to be scrutinized by everyone.
So while i think this story has great potential i am sorry to say that it was seriously lacking.
First, the title doesn't even reflect the story! The title is about Dragons but the story is about werewolves?! Wth!
At the very least, match the title to the story ffs.
This story needs to be edited desperately and i do mean desperately. Everything from completely wrong words to spelling errors to the fact that neither wolf introduced themselves but she suddenly knew there names, to her asking what one man's name was while claiming the other had already introduced himself, needs to be fixed.
I understand this was a short story or at least i hope it was meant to be a short. It neither classifies as a novel or a novella. The story line jumped from thought to thought so fast i was left feeling like i had either missed gigantic chunks of time or the characters actions/thoughts/feelings were bi-polar.
You had some great paragraphs were i was able to start getting into heroine's character and then BAM onto a new train of thought. As i said before, the concept was good. Great even. Please, for the love of all that's holy, round out your chapters.
I was left completely dumbfounded and sneering at the abrupt ending and change in all the characters attitudes.
People do not, have not and will
not ever change in their core beliefs that easily. Ever. These characters had a long way to go before trusting each other as wholly as they suddenly did.
I would love to see this book re-worked. You have an opportunity here to write a great book. A series even! Don't waste it! Please!
