Detachment

Stephen Maynard is a successful businessman with a loving wife and two children. His life is perfect, and he is celebrating winning another deal. As he stops for a break on his journey home, he sees something on the TV news that would change his life forever. His father, whom he detests, is dying and wants to see him. Should he go? Curiosity gets the better of him and he finds himself drawn into a new business, but on the wrong side of the law. He must keep his family and his new venture apart, but how?
Meanwhile his loving and devoted wife Dianne encounters an old flame from the past who starts to rekindle a passion that she had long forgotten. She too must keep her secrets.
Working in the house is Jane, the housekeeper, who sees all and is slowly piecing together the puzzle through letters to her friend.
