Digging Into Indigenous Culture Through the Lens: Identity and Stereotypes
Publisher Description
This book is dedicated to ENG 445C course, presenting we have learned throughout the semester. This book is my deep explorations and insights into Indigenous people. So, I don’t want to make my iBook simply a portfolio including all my works this semester. Instead, I want to make it a well-designed book that can truly embody my thoughts, as well as my thought transformations, throughout the whole semester. Therefore, I don’t choose to simply divide the chapters as “reflective essays chapter,” “book and film reviews chapter,” “cultural and scholarly essay chapter,” and “multi-media component chapter.” Instead, I want to present the process of deepening my insights and understandings on the big topic. So, I divide the chapters into the category of different themes, to present the process of external having and breaking stereotypes on Indigenous people, the process of Indigenous people’s transformations themselves, and that Indigenous people actually have no difference with us and that they share the same rights and emotions with us.
