Publisher Description

Disgruntled: Other Art is a compilation of texts written over the past thirty years by curators and artists for grunt gallery, an artist-run centre in Vancouver, BC. Ranging in style from critical essay to storytelling and poetry, these texts describe, discuss and dissect some of the vast number of exhibitions and performances produced at the gallery and available, until now, only in hard-copy publication. Disgruntled is an exciting, eclectic mix of voices from a gallery that has helped to bring contemporary art that lies outside the mainstream into the public eye.

Great work

It's excellent to see grunt's roots and how they have grown over the past 30 years. Lovely selection of texts by Audrey and Hillary. Congrats!

Big fan

of grunt gallery and the work that they do. Wasn't aware of all the projects and exhibitions they had in the 80s and 90s. It's really great to see an arts organization last over 30 years in vancouver. Cheers, grunt!
