Dockside…a love story… is a compelling, autobiographical novel of God’s providence in orchestrating the unlikely union of two young people, a Dutchman and a Caribbean lady. In essence, it is about romance…reality…redemption…and repurposing… within the context of high adventure.


Its multi-dimensional content and easy flowing style capture the attention of the reader, from chapter to chapter, with anticipatory excitement to experience the ‘next thing’. It is never boring!


The transparency of the author in revealing the struggles and unfulfilled longings of a ‘life before Christ’ invites the reader to experience its profound contrast with a life ultimately centered in Him. It also provides a bridge across to those who have not yet accepted Christ and offers an invitation, without condemnation, to “taste and see that the Lord is good”.


The author lives in Grand Cayman. She has published poetry over the years, but this is her first book. With her late husband Peter, the Dutchman, she spent many years ministering to drug addicts, prisoners, single mothers and others both within and outside of the ‘church’. Together, they founded Shalom Ministries Cayman with a focus on mind renewal, inner healing and restoration through the Word of God. In this season of her life, she feels called to write.
