After destroying the Dragonlinks mailshirt and banishing her companions, Zimak and Daretor to a paraworld, Jelindel’s is refuge with the Sister of Verity is destroyed when the Temple is attacked. Jelindel escapes, disguises herself as a boy and joins a voyage on the ship, the Dark Empress, where she learns of an evil plot to conquer the paraworlds.
