Drawing Parallels Across Party Lines

Byline: Salman Siddiqui KARACHI / HYDERABAD -- Sindhi nationalist parties and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) may not otherwise be cut from the same cloth, but they do have one political agenda in common: the demand for freedom from jageerdars or feudal landlords. They also appear to be on the same page when it comes to wearing the Sindhi topi and Ajrak, pressing for Sindh's rule at the Centre, and, more significantly, opposing the growing presence of Pakhtuns in the province.
