Dungeon Singles Night Collection Part 2

It is difficult to write what these books are about and still get the review passed. If you have seen the title you know what they are about.
It’s always nice to get a compilation like this that saves you money. I have been reading and enjoying Anya Summers’ books since The Dungeon Fantasy Club series. The story I liked most in this book is Midnight Rendezvous which is sort of interesting because I don’t usually like the best friends little sister trope. I think it’s partly because poor Emilia, with five older brothers, finally gets her story and the unique spin that Ms. Summers puts on even well used tropes. Very fun book.

Midnight Renegade
I love a second chance. But, I'm torn by this one. And it's really all because of one scene fairly deep into the book. I'm just grateful that by the time that scene occurs in their story, that I'd already fallen in love with our leading couple by then. If the revelation about some of the things that had happened during the time the two were apart had occurred earlier in the story, I don't think I would have been as forgiving of either Brody or Reagan. I loved the chemistry between these two. There was something really quite endearing about the way Brody was trying so hard to prove himself after having been such a complete jerk when they were younger. Reagan was one hundred percent porcupine; she's all spiky defences and mile-high walls protecting her from ever getting hurt again. I adored the ending this pair was able to achieve, I just would have been happier to get there without knowing the details of the less than stellar behavior that took place during their time apart.
Midnight Rendezvous
She's spent her whole life trying to gain her freedom from her five older brothers, but that's particularly difficult to do while working in the family business. I enjoyed seeing what a feisty little spitfire Emilia was. Asher is such a stoic and noble Dom. We watched him try to fight his desire for Emilia but the sparks between them are simply too powerful to resist. The stalker ex is something of a classic theme in romantic suspense, however, I was interested to see that the author took it in a slightly different direction than expected. I loved seeing the way all the tension and suspense ramped up the chemistry between our leading couple. Now that we've seen another Ryan sibling succumb to the ‘click’, I can't wait to read about the next to fall.
A Knight To Remember
What started out as something very similar to the old joke about how porcupines mate, evolved into something very different than I had been expecting. Even though Colin’s walls are high and well defended, he's the one fighting hard for this relationship from the very beginning. At least, until all his old baggage comes back to bite him. Peyton doesn't believe in love. Period. As far as she’s concerned it's a lovely sentiment she's never had experience with. Colin has his work cut out for him to prove that it exists. But is that even possible for two people whose hearts are as well guarded as a medieval castle under siege? I feel like this book was a little bit of a slower burn, but at the same time I don't. Colin puts in a lot of effort to gently woo Peyton and show her that love isn't just a myth. Their encounters are spicy, and I particularly liked the way he introduced her to the Lifestyle. He lost some serious book boyfriend credit with me when he allowed his past to disrupt his future however, his groveling game is on point. I loved seeing their happy ever after, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what's coming next in the series.
