Publisher Description
He only has one shot at redemption. And it might cost him everything.
James T. Brinkley has spent his life surviving war.
First in Afghanistan.
Then in the shadows of the Federal Bureau of Regenerative Death.
After a fatal mistake overseas, Brinkley came home with blood on his hands and a mission: protect the innocent at any cost. As an FBRD agent, he hunts monsters, tracks killers, and guards one young woman whose life may determine the fate of them all—Jesse Sullivan.
But when Brinkley learns how—and when—he will die, everything changes.
Forty-five weeks.
One inevitable confrontation.
And a sadistic enemy who has been circling Jesse for years.
If Brinkley makes the wrong move, he won't just lose his own life. He'll deliver Jesse straight into the hands of the man hunting her.
Dying for Her is a dark, action-driven companion novel in the Dying for a Living series, revealing the secrets, sacrifices, and sins that shaped Jesse's most dangerous ally.
Best read between Dying by the Hour (Book 2) and Dying Light (Book 4).
Customer Reviews
Wonderfully exciting!
It is such a relief to find a series that revolves around a strong, funny, entirely human (and then some) woman. The main character boils out of the first book in the trilogy (hopefully more to come) fully developed and quirky and unique. You know who this woman is from the get-go, and she makes no apologies for herself. She is Jesse, dammit. Her friends are loyal, the bad guys not predictable and the story rolls along no holds barred. LOVED the point of view of the third book! Delightful change of perspective, clarifying what I thought I already knew. Keep it up, Kory!
