Earth Prayers

In forest clearings, beneath star-filled skies, in cathedrals, and before the hearth, women and men have always given voice to the impulse to celebrate the world that surrounds and sustains them. Now, as our planet faces an uncertain future, Elizabeth Roberts and Elias Amidon present a collection of prayers, poems and invocations from around the world to honor the earth in this era of heightened awareness of our relationship to the environment.

Elizabeth Roberts, Ed.D. and Elias Amidon are well known advocates for social justice and spiritual awakening. Co-founders and directors of the Boulder Institute for Nature and the Human Spirit, they are on the faculty of the Naropa Institute, and lead rites-of-passage ceremonies, spiritual retreats, and transformation programs across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Together they edited Earth Prayers and Life Prayers.
