Publisher Description
Everyone knows East Hale is ruthless.
I freely admit it… I’m not a nice man.
And Agent Nyla Kincaid is about to find that out firsthand.
I allowed her to get too close and in the end, she burned me.
To keep the secrets of the Elite, I seduced her.
The distraction worked, but like a moth to a flame, I singed my wings.
She will pay for my mistake, and revenge will be sweet.
The good girl is about to find out why Daddy told her to stay away from bad men.
And this time, I will not take care with her heart.
*This isn’t the end of the story. It takes time to become a master thief. Join me and the London Lords in the epic conclusion, The Fall of East

Suspenseful!
This is the second book in the Hear No Evil Trilogy. You have to read this series in order. East and Nyla's story continues where the first book left off. Their journey is enthralling, and intricate, filled with secrets, action, danger, intrigue, suspense, and twists and turns. The supporting characters, and the London Lords, have an important part in this story. There is a lot going on in this story. The story ends with a breathtaking cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next and last book in this captivating trilogy.
4.25 stars-richly detailed and complex
Told from dual first person perspectives (Nyla and East) EAST BOUND follows in the aftermath of a perceived betrayal by Nyla against the man with whom she is falling in love but Nyla is currently suspended from her position with Interpol for disobeying the orders of the people in charge, and in this East struggles to trust Nyla in the wake of evidence he has uncovered at her home. Someone at Interpol has set their sights on the London Lords, and Nyla is about to get caught in the cross-fire. As Nyla continues to investigate a series of art thefts going back a number of years, her case is about to implode when her actions spark a fall-out, out of her control.
The relationship between Nyla and East continues to be tempestuous, at best, as East struggles to trust and accept that Nyla is on their side, after all, Nyla remains an agent at Interpol, and the people in charge, are still gunning for the London Lords. Nyla continues to protect our story line hero, and in this, East will bring our heroine back into the fold, only to place her in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, although only used twice, more for shock value than anything else.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters, some byway of mention (from the author’s other series): Ben Covington and Olivia (See No Evil trilogy); Bridge Edgerton; fellow London Lord Drew Wilcox; computer hacker Telly Brinx; Lucas and Bryna (Royals Undone Series); Nyla’s fellow agent and partner Amelia Jansen; Nyla’s ex-boyfriend and Interpol agent Denning Sinclair; and her father Section Chief /Interpol Agent Roger Kincade. The requisite evil has many faces.
EAST BOUND is a fast paced, intriguingstory of secrets and lies; family, friendships, and relationships; and a two secret societies who wield their power with authority and control. The character driven premise is richly detailed and complex; the romance is spicy and imaginative; the characters are fascinating, spirited, edgy and intense. There are many similarities to current day events, events that scream from our media headlines. EAST BOUND ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
