Eleanor's Victory

A girl swears to find the man who ruined her father and drove him to suicide, and marries into the household where she believes he lives. Braddon at her most single-minded; the revenge is a woman's and it is patient. This edition adds 44 plates of painting, among them works by Frith, Millais and Tissot, alongside 15 illustrations restored and coloured for the text.
