The Senate's Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill sets the general aviation jet fuel tax at 36cents per gallon, increasing it from the current rate of 21.9cents. It also increases gas taxes for private business jet charters, from 4.4 cents per gallon to 36 cents, in addition to a 14-cent surtax on fuel.
