Etched On My Heart

The words in this book
Are the words that are
Etched on my heart.
I bled them, scribbling
On scraps of paper
Or in old notebooks.
They define me,
Who I am,
What I believe.
They are about 2 a.m.
On a Tuesday morning,
Cold and dark.
My afternoons,
Bright and glowing
With happiness.
My mornings,
Foggy with new ideas
And wild dreams.
My thoughts, my loves,
My crazy life that
I have the privilege to live.
Welcome into my heart.

The prose is different from other poetry prose, you could say. Conversational, normal. These words flowed from a teenage girl, right out of her heart and onto paper. So be prepared to go deep into her words and into her heart.
