Publisher Description

This book makes me want to quit my day gig [and] run off and join a rock ’n roll band! Buzz, I loved reliving my past. You got it right.”

—Jimmy Buffett

“This book captures the honesty, innocence, excitement, and the pure joy to be found on the journey from the childhood dreams to their realization beyond any expectation. One of the most gifted creative artists I have known, Buzz Cason made it as a performer, recording artist, writer, producer, and publisher, and he did it with the grace, good humor, and true humility that shines through these stories of his life and is the reason he remains a relevant player in the music business today. He is living proof that nice guys do just fine, and they have the most fun.”

— Kris Kristofferson

In 1957, Cason formed The Casuals, the first rock band in Nashville. Over the next four decades, he worked successfully as a performer, songwriter, producer, actor, and recording studio pioneer. He wrote the hit song “Everlasting Love” and, more recently, Martina McBride’s “Love’s the Only House.” He published the award-winning songs “Honey,” “Little Green Apples,” and “She Believes in Me”; sang with Roy Orbison, Kenny Rogers, Brenda Lee, Jimmy Buffett; and recorded such artists as Olivia Newton-John, The Doobie Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, and The Gatlin Brothers.
