From city streets that slowly kill,

Where truth, she never has her fill.

Yet nature sweet, she stands sublime,

In silence nurtures word and mind,

As fossils claim their life from time.

Why does confusion stain our plans?

Have words unbound from mortal span?

Is truth in exodus from man?
