Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition

Good health requires good stewardship. It means caring for your God-given body, mind, and spirit to the best of your ability. Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition provides students a biblical perspective on what they need to know to make the best choices for their physical, mental, and spiritual development as they grow into adults. Topics include bodily systems, genetics, temperaments, how physical factors influence thoughts and emotions, the inestimable value of a human being, gender roles, family dynamics, socialization, communication skills, and conflict resolution. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge of macronutrients and micronutrients, including the importance of exercise and proper diet. The course also deals respectfully with mental illness and emotional stability. The student notebook includes more than fifty projects covering such subjects as nature versus nurture, skills for making good decisions, setting boundaries, analyzing food intake and activity levels, developing good hygiene habits, the importance of sleep, and much more!
