F is for Frenchie

In France a WWII veteran, haunted by the memory of his father's fate in the trench warfare of 1917, has gone missing along with his faithful dog. A pair of private eyes are brought in to find the vet. On Veteran's Day or Memorial Day or on any day of the year, this tale will inspire the reader even as it honors those who have served their country.
