What a writer
I love this book as much as all his others, the rawness of the characters and the derelict senarios. LOVE IT!
Almost worth the ridiculous price
I remember reading this open vein of a book when I was in law school. I knew that law school was a pretty stupid and boring idea, and this hand grenade confirmed that belief. It is just so remarkably funny and sad and brilliant. The phrase "job hunting time once again came belching and farting across my mad horizon" - or however it goes - has stuck in my head these 18 years since I read Factotum. It's that type of thing that had me nodding and snorting and brooding and laughing all the way through this masterpiece of splatter. I might even pony up and buy it again.
