Wonderful contemporary romance.
Contractor Greg Fairchild suddenly wakes up in the hospital with a badly injured leg, a severe concussion, and a.fake fiancée? Greg had been in a severe car accident. When his sister’s best friend calls Gretchen Mascoe to go to the hospital because his family can’t Gretchen goes despite her strong reservations. The only way to see him was to say she was his fiancée. She has secretly loved him for years but gave up hope. But like she always does, she'll come to his rescue and ends up caring for him in her home.
This is a heartwarming contemporary romance with wonderful characters. The characters are well developed and full of personality with strengths and weaknesses. The narrative was great as it helped me understand the motivations and actions that the characters took. I read this book in one sitting, it was easy to read but hard to put down. The storyline flowed smoothly and the dialogue was well done. I enjoyed the emotional ups and downs as the characters worked through their past fears, guilt and insecurities while trying to cope with the stressful situation they were put in to. The chemistry between the two main characters was palatable. If you like romances that pull at your heart strings and leave you feeling uplifted then this would be a good book for you.
