Falling Star

With her Soap Opera character suddenly being killed off, TV star Callie Matherton has ample time to respond to an invitation she never thought she would receive - a mysterious letter from her long-lost father, Jake. With mixed emotions and a touch of bitterness at being abandoned as a child, she travels from New York City to rural Wyoming, where the reunion with her father is delayed and she gets off to a rocky start with Mac McKenzie, the tall, good-looking, horse rescuer for the Bureau of Land Management that her father sent to pick her up from the airport. Finally reunited with her father, Callie is skeptical of his sudden important discovery that he wants to share with her after so many years of silence. What does he want from her? Money? A kidney? A piece of her liver? Can they learn to trust again and begin a new, loving relationship? When Jake is unexpectedly injured, Callie has to step up, and make dangerous decisions, earning a deadly foe.
