Stuntwoman Stacey Weir isn’t intending to do anything other than her job on the movie set of Hard Action Five. But when a series of set mishaps turns deadly, and her adoptive father – Gil Ballantine, aka Mr. Fall – is accused of being involved, Stacey takes matters into her own hands.
Armed with her stunt and martial arts training, relying on her wealth of knowledge of movies, and supported by friends and her stunt family, Stacey’s investigation annoys the police – but it makes the bad guys more determined to stop her.
Soon it’s clear that there’s more going on than just a set in disarray, and before too long it’s clearer that Stacey’s at the center of the danger. Survival isn’t a given, and neither is clearing Gil’s name. So it’s a good thing Stacey has help from the oldest living stuntman, some high school movie buffs, and the hottest actor to come out of Hong Kong in a long time.
Whether all that help will be enough to save her and everyone else, though, is the question. But Stacey’s pretty sure she’s the answer.
