Nevertheless, when Michael Jackson dies it signals the culmination of a game begun nearly two decades earlier and the friends must meet again, for the trip of a lifetime.

Secrets abound, with the break-up of relationships, the loss of jobs, bankruptcy, loan sharks and hitmen ensuring that this really is an unforgettable experience. The  trip takes a serious turn for the worse when Piers goes missing and a ransom is demanded for his return.
