Publisher Description
An alpha male vampire must save a scientist and her psychic daughter in this paranormal romantic suspense novel by a New York Times–bestselling author.
Marry Me
Cara Paulsen does not give up easily. A scientist and a single mother, she's used to fighting for what she wants, keeping a cool head, and doing whatever it takes to protect her daughter Janie. But "whatever it takes" has never before included a shotgun wedding to a dangerous-looking stranger with an attitude problem…
Or Else
Sure, the mysterious Talen says that he's there to protect Cara and Janie. He also says that he's a three-hundred-year-old vampire. Of course, the way he touches her, Cara might actually believe he's had that long to practice….
“Rebecca Zanetti has created a page-turner of a book, with a heroine willing to fight for the ones she loves and a hero who will literally take your breath—just before he steals your heart.”—Kate Douglas, New York Times–bestselling author
“Steamy scenes and some genuinely warm moments.”—Publishers Weekly
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Neither her empathic abilities nor her role as the single mother of psychic four-year-old Janie prepares plant physiologist Cara Paulsen for the intruder who claims to be kidnapping Cara and Janie for their own good. Janie assures Cara that Talen Kayrs really is trying to protect them from great danger, but Cara's skeptical, especially after learning that Talen is a vampire certain she's fated to be his mate. He insists they marry at once so Cara and Janie can be under the protection of his family. The mysterious enemy Kurjans covet women with special abilities and particularly want to get their hands on Janie. Cara wants to keep her daughter safe, but can she trust this domineering, sexy vampire? Debut author Zanetti bolsters this rather absurd setup with steamy scenes and some genuinely warm moments.

Fantastic story! Highly recommend this book filled with adventure, suspense and romance. As the first book in a series, it is the beginning of a larger storyline but is certainly a great stand alone read even if you don’t go on to the next book. Be prepared to be hard pressed to put this book down once you start to reading. I will definitely be reading all the stories in this series 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steamy & irresistible!
Talen Kayrs, the head of security and strategic military leader of the Realm, is skilled in combat, powerful, dominating and sexy as hell. He also happens to be ... a vampire. Welcome to the world of the Dark Protectors, Rebecca Zanetti's unique take on paranormal romance. In her world, vampires walk in daylight, look just like humans, don't need to drink blood to survive and yes, pay taxes! Those rumours to the contrary? Well, you might have the vampires confused with Kurjans, white-faced, night-walking sociopaths who view the human race as "prey".
Imagine the shock, disbelief and terror of Cara Paulsen, single mom, scientist, and closet empath, when she learns that a) vampires are real, b) monsters (Kurjans) are real, and c) the Kurjans are after her and her four year old daughter Janie! Cara is as intelligent, level-headed, and maternally protective as the rest of us but Talen's offer, nay demand, that he protect her and be her mate is too compelling to be refused.
Talen and Cara's story is breath-taking, heart-pounding, and deliciously erotic. Along the way you will be introduced to rest of the sexy Kayrs brothers and assorted shifters, witches and demons. Throw in a mysterious Virus-27 developed by the devious Kurjans, escalating war between immortals on multiple fronts, and vague unsettling prophecies about Janie's role as a future catalyst in changing the fate of the world, and you are in for an amazing ride!
Fated is the first book in the seven book Dark Protectors series.

It’s a good action story. There are intimate scenes but it doesn’t feel like there’s much romance. Plus there’s a scene in a cabin half way through the book that just seems out of place. Lastly, the characters don’t talk and clear the air in the end. Apparently all couples problems and fears can be solved by having s$x.
