Faust: Faust is considered as the masterpiece of Goethe's works, and it is the essence of his thoughts and artistic exploration, conception and writing of Faust is throughout the Goethe's life. He begins writing in 1768 and accomplish it until 1832(the last year before Goethe's death) --- a total of 64 years.

Faust is a work with grand conception, complex content, large-scale structure, flexible styles, and the fusion of realism and romanticism.
