The Code of Ethics for Government Service and the Professional Ethics

of Mineral Examiners should be the guide lines in accomplishing

assigned vork.


Many charts and tables in other professional publications are not

included in this handbook. However, significant tables, background,

and legal cases which bring out many phases of valuation engineering

are included for field reference.


This handbook does not restrict the application of all available or

newly initiated methods of conducting an examination. The professional

training and background of the examiner would be used extensively in

making on-the-site opinions and decisions. Good judgment used with

this material will place the results of the examination on a high

plane of accuracy.
