For the New Republic is a novel of people and politics. Jerry, an electromagnetic scientist, feels that his country is ready to change for the better and he has a new invention that will turn everyone's world upside down. As he works on his development a complex web of relationships becomes swept up in a system of corruption that no one cannot ignore any longer. The plot thickens as Jerry tries to develop his machine without being caught by an Orwellian government, Kent gets arrested and joins a protest movement, Susan, a government agent, uncovers corruption in the very system she serves, and Kelly becomes the target of corporatism after she launches a ground-breaking company. The revolution goes into full swing with propagandized war and a central government all too ready to cause death and destruction.
