Foundling Voices

For the first time since it closed in 1954 you are invited to glimpse what life was like for the abandoned children living within the walls of the Foundling Hospital in Berkhamsted.

You’ll be taken on a virtual tour of this historical institution and hear first-hand accounts from past pupils, who, interviewed for the first time since leaving the school, reflect on their experiences of separation, education, love, loss and rediscovery.

This unique publication allows you to immerse yourself completely in life as a foundling, and all that entailed both good and bad.
