Four Journeys: 2004-2007

Five friends journey around the battlefields of north west Europe. From Arnhem to Zandvoorde and all points in between, the battlefields of the Somme, Normandy, Ypres and Market Garden were traipsed and driven across (with the occasional stop in a hostelry) and explored. You could follow in our footsteps although there is no actual travel advice, you could become inspired to follow our DIY route and avoid the exorbitant fees of the tour operators, or you could just laugh at some of the situations we found ourselves in. The trips themselves are equally sombre and laugh out loud funny, and I hope my lack of skill with the pen (well, keyboard) doesn't take away these aspects too much.
