Eloisa James returns with another fabulous romance in her New York Times bestselling Desperate Duchesses series!
As a young girl, Emilia Gwendolyn Carrington told the annoying future Duke of Pindar that she would marry any man in the world before him—so years later she is horrified to realize that she has nowhere else to turn.
Evander Septimus Brody has his own reasons for agreeing to Mia's audacious proposal, but there's one thing he won't give his inconvenient wife: himself.
Instead, he offers Mia a devil's bargain . . . he will spend four nights a year with her. Four nights, and nothing more. And those only when she begs for them.
Which Mia will never do.
Now Vander faces the most crucial challenge of his life: he must seduce his own wife in order to win her heart—and no matter what it takes, this is the one battle he can't afford to lose.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
With its exceptionally clever plot and amazing female protagonist, Eloisa James’ new historical romance strengthens her position as one of our favorite authors of light fiction. Four Nights with the Duke is the story of Mia Carrington, an unmarried twentysomething who makes a great living in her secret life as a novelist. Desperate to take custody of her vulnerable nephew, Mia hatches a plan to marry Duke Vander Brody—an aloof acquaintance who, years before, rebuffed her teenage crush. We loved every second of this mesmerizing tale, which effortlessly blends modern sensibilities with old-fashioned intrigue and charm.
Four nights with the duke
Ms.James, I loved this novel - it's the best yet. Vander, Mia and Charlie were absolutely engrossing. I was unable to put the book down till I read it all.
Absolutely adored Vander and I can absolutely empathize with Mia's insecurities. Children can be cruel - and something's stay with us for a long time.
Thank you for the wonderful book and the joy that the book brought to me 😄
(As I'm sure to your multitude of readers)
