From The World Within

This book of twenty illustrated stories has been created by Norman Fahrer during most of 2020 and early 2021. This book is the first volume of a series Norman is working on. The stories in this book are accompanied by illustrations from Norman’s art collection, which he purchased over the years from Nilcelio Rocha. At the end of this book, you find information on how you can acquire such art yourself.

The stories touch on many human experiences and challenges in life such as beauty, ugliness, good, evil, love, faith, friendship, truth, fear, sadness, loneliness, loyalty, worry, and hope.

Houses sit in judgement of their residents. Colors start a fight in a paint store. A lie lives in a tower occupied by truths. A queen orders her subjects to have someone. Mushrooms tell a story about samurai who tame a tsunami in Japan. Seven men mine humanity’s future in the Blue Mountains. Malicious thoughts wreak havoc across worlds. A mouse explores a suspected paradise. The world is retracted piece by piece as species sue each other. Sadness dispatches a dubious ambassador. A Principal studies human thought and keeps the mechanics of the worlds intact with the help of a piglet. An orphan boy tries to capture the moon. A woman escapes the many flaws of love. A hotel worries about a mysterious guest. A bridge is haunted by its many secrets, and a green-winged elf rescues us Earthlings, and much more.

Most of these stories are about two thousand words long, and some are in the form of a fable. Others unfold in the rich world of fantasy. They were written by Norman Walter Fahrer.
