This is the most complete book ever published about fruit; it covers about 1020 different fruits that are cultivated in Brazil (580 native species and 440 exotics or introduced fruits). Each fruit is richly illustrated by three photographs: growth habit, flowering branch and fruits. The book was written by three major Brazilian scholars and collectors of fruits. Each fruit is presented on a separate page along with a description of its morphological characteristics, origin, flowering and fruiting season, uses and methods of propagation.
