Eye opening!
Eye opening! This book written ten years after the DL brothers book from 2004. This one tells the whole story of JL King. It explains his faith as a bisexual man, his life as little boy, being in the army, being married, a father, a church leader, a DL man and later finally accepting his truth as a gay man. It is interesting that after he admitted publicly that he slept with men on the Down Low, how women and men still try to approach him to have sex with him. It’s a blessing that he was able to mend his relationship with his wife after their divorce and was able to have the admiration and respect of his children after coming out the closet. I enjoyed reading this book because it opened my eyes to a segment of black men that are hidden in our communities.
