Customer Reviews
3 in 1 a great deal
Murder of Ravens is Gabriel Hawke's first book. You meet him in Homicide Hideaway a Shandra Higheagle Mystery. Hawke is an Oregon Fish and Wildlife State Trooper who is good at tracking. He comes upon a dead body while tracking poachers. The man has been strangled with a wolf tracking collar. There are a lot of suspects and many secrets come out. A very good read. I like Gabriel and am glad Paty Jager is made a series for him.
Mouse Trail Ends is an excellent read. Hidden secrets and tracking skills go together in this book. I really like Hawke and even though this is only his second book his character is growing. I totally like Kitree, she is a very special young lady who knows how to protect herself. The story catches your attention from the beginning and keeps it to the end. The plot is good and the story flows.
Rattlesnake Brother is a story showing that things that happen in your past can come back to haunt you. The District Attorney is having a lot of problems which began when he was 16, now people are being murdered and he is the prime suspect. It takes State Trooper Hawke to figure things out. I have to say I love the interaction this time between Hawke, Dani and Justine. Will Hawke accept a woman in his life?
I enjoyed these stories and the characters are believable and take you into their world. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a nice mystery with murder thrown in.
