Ghostlight

It’s 1688 and London, on the cusp of political upheaval, is a heady mix of filth, clamour and grand spectacle when a chance meeting brings portrait artist Francesca Rossi and physician coroner Michael Bartholomew together. Francesca seeing a chance to improve her knowledge of anatomy, offers him her services to sketch a record of his postmortems.

Soon a visit to her brothers’ school drags them into a labyrinth of greed and murder.

While Francesca’s mystical ghostlight paintings bring clues, Michael’s scientific mind offers clarity, yet neither seems able to recognise love when it begins to stir between them.

Finally, the murderer is uncovered but not without Francesca’s life hanging in the balance.
