Golak

It is a time after the Apocalypse. Jonah is a young boy living and growing up in an isolated mountain village. He’s intelligent and inquisitive, two traits the little society shuns as it endeavours to construct a new order based only on the fear of God and hard physical toil. Somewhere in Jonah’s past resides a terrible secret no one is willing to reveal.
The village is beleaguered by golaks – hideous, deformed creatures born of failed genetic experiments - and Jonah begins to understand that he may not be entirely human himself. Who is he? And how can he find out, when knowledge is forbidden?
