Starts with a bang and never lets up
Good and Gone is a psychological thriller that fulfills its mission. The action is not lacking and does not slow down, it plays in our heads and makes us experience a range of emotions, while making us question the reactions we would have if we lived the same situation. How far would we be willing to go?
The central characters, Hailey and her husband Tyler, are very well developed. Their POV allows us to understand their reactions as they take the hits, one after the other.
One of Britney King's strengths is the art of writing short but intense sentences that draw us into the action, without getting lost in the details. This has even more impact and gives another dimension to her stories. She does it brilliantly with Good and Gone. Their story will stay with you a while.
