Publisher Description

In the late 1940s, grandma was using black and white photography.  World War II had ended and people were on the move again.  This story is about four individuals who travel across the United States in 1947 from Boston, Massachusetts to California and return by a different route.  The reader will see pictures and postcards of the trip as well as read Emma's story of the sights and sounds along the way.  By the 1940s, the American Automobile Association (AAA) was well respected and Emma used the AAA travel brochure to decide on travel accommodations, routes, and stops to be taken along the way.
