Mind freaking blown!
The ending of Grim left me shaking, speechless, and unable to function. Upon finishing the last page, I sat here, staring at the words “The End,” trying to comprehend what I had read. My brain could not grasp the cliffhanger ending I was left standing on. Breathless, white-knuckles holding onto my book, my heart racing out of my chest. Mind-freaking-blown! J.L. Drake is known for writing books that will leave you twisting in the wind, and Grim is no exception. The characters are complex but lovable. Grim and Kenna are strong-willed individuals, neither wanting to lose their hard-won control to the other, but such sweet bliss comes when they allow the walls to come crashing down. The fire and attraction between them are so strong you can almost reach out and grab hold of it. If this is the opening salvo to a brand new trilogy, I know I will be floored by what is coming in the next two installments. After all, J.L. Drake has to redeem this cliffy somehow in the second book but prepare us for the third.
