Living The Dream
3 years ago I gave my daughter the gift of Costa Rica for Christmas. I planned every single moment of our Mother-Daughter trip, and it was there that I completely fell in love with the country. A friend of mine on Facebook saw my Costa Rica adventures and sent me the link to the Happier Facebook page.
It wasn’t until 2016 that I downloaded the first book whilst sitting on the tarmac in Exmouth, WA. My beautiful window seat view was completely blocked by the plane engine and instead of staring down at the incredible Australia Coast, I decided to read Happier Than A Billionaire instead. I have to say that was an awesome flight. I was thoroughly entertained! However, it fueled the fire that someday I would return to Costa Rica, maybe for good!
However, life happens, things change and I had to put that dream on the backburner.
Last week was a rough patch and I decided to dive into book #2, The Sequel. I needed some cheering up! Well, if you’re reading at work on the sly, and don’t want to get caught, don’t read this book. While I was waiting for the infamous spinning wheel on my Mac, I decided to break up the monotony by sneaking out my phone and reading. I was quietly giggling throughout the whole hernia debacle to outright crying with laughter when a certain scorpion pranced across Rob’s chest. I totally got caught crying hysterical tears of laughter at my desk...try to explain that one!
My dream of becoming a Costa Rican is on hold for awhile, but I won’t give up on it. Thanks to Nadine, it doesn’t seem so far out of reach.
This book is a hilarious, light-hearted ‘feel-good’ read. A reminder that life is short, appreciate the view wherever you are and appreciate the ones in your view.
Can’t wait to book my stay at the Happier House!
