Happy Landings & Happy Landings II

"Happy Landings" and "Happy Landings II" are the author's recollections of his service in "B" Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during WW2. His stories of volunteering to be a parachutist, training in the U.S. and England, visiting London during the Blitz, seeing firsthand the horrors of Dachau, and fighting the enemy in France, Belgium and The Netherlands are filled with compassion for his comrades, humor about the everyday, ordinary events that happen even during times of war, and remarkable historical detail from a soldier who was there.
