Children need to understand the importance of healthy foods and a proper diet, along with good oral hygiene. This is essential with the percentage of adults who begin losing teeth at young ages (and even among youngsters, there is excessive permanent teeth decay and loss). The statistics for tooth loss are too high. Clearly, something is wrong. We need to look systematically at the problems associated with tooth loss and begin attempts towards mitigating the issues with dental caries. In the meantime, children shouldn’t have to sleep at night with sore mouths. They shouldn’t have to suffer toothaches in the classroom. This book, while a fun read, covers an essential topic for school-age children, as well as a helpful reminder for adults. Let’s look towards a brighter future for our children and our children’s children!
